Lisa Edelstein was an American actor who gained notoriety as the star of Fox's House medical series. With a very strict Jewish upbringing she moved from Wayne to New York City when she was 18 to attend Tisch School of the Arts. The school was very active in the club scene, creating enough controversy that she caught the attention of the media. She utilised both her training in music and fame to create and star in a musical of her own, Positive Me. Awake to the Wild Side, a show that she hosted on MTV was soon her assignment. Once Awake on the Wild Side was no longer being aired, she began to act in films and on television, initially in small parts. As time went on, her work as an actress was growing.
